Remote Cape Breton Farm Land: Land Details
This 20 acre parcel is located on high land between Lake Ainslie and Mabou, Inverness County on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The land elevation is about 250 metres (800 Ft) and provides a great view towards the south, southeast and southwest.
The property is accessed by an old public Road that is kept passable and is a Government maintained road. Do not expect to be the first to be plowed in the winter.
The closest year around resident is located 2 to 3 km away. There is electric power at the road - the line goes to a CBC tower located towards the north (just of the Mt. Young Road).
At one time the property was part of a 100 acre farm situate toward the west. (Note: That 100 acre farm property is also for sale - it is also listed on this website.) That farm is still under blueberry production and there are a couple of other commercial blueberry fields in the area. About 3 to 4 acres of the 20 area lot is in blueberry production with the remainder of the land being treed.
The southern exposure and high open country would make this property ideal for obtaining electric power from wind and solar. If you do not wish to do so, you can still hook to the electric grid at roadside and enjoy the great view of southern Inverness County.
